Preconstruction & Construction Management Process
Initial Site Visit
Document/establish scope of your project and feasibility including review of existing architectural plans and plot plan, or conduct on-site assessment/establishment of possible design directions if no plans exist to date.
Prepare & Present Estimate
Use existing architectural plans (may include consultation with your architect) and write estimate or create rough estimate based on an initial assessment of a design direction and options. Present estimate.
Upon acceptance of our estimate we will present a retainer contract to begin the formal project planning process. Fees range according to project scope.
Procure & Coordinate Architectural Services
This option is available for clients who have not yet engaged an architect. As a full service design/build firm, Archambault Construction will procure and coordinate architectural services and work with you to develop plans.
How We Work To Set the Budget
Collaborate with architect and client, solicit subcontractors and produce initial project plan/working budget.
Assist in Materials Selections
Assist client in materials selections. Items include but are not limited to:
- Exterior products – roofing, windows, ext. doors, siding, ext. trim, decking, etc.
- Plumbing fixtures, vanities & shower enclosures
- Kitchen cabinets & counter
- Flooring & tile
- Interior finishes, built-ins & doors
Contract & Permitting
Produce final contract w/construction & payment schedules, conduct contract meeting, perform necessary permitting and interface with building officials.
Site visits prior to start of construction to confirm pre-order items and site logistics.
Archambault Construction takes the utmost care in preparing the construction area to control dust. We will install dust barriers and existing flooring will be protected. Prior to demolition and/or framing all valuables should be secured and all furniture and articles moved out of the construction area (rental of an external storage container is sometimes required). All electronics and other valuable items in adjacent areas should be covered and protected from dust. If necessary, prepare alternate living arrangements (TBD upon project logistics and schedule).
During construction, a team consisting of a project manager and account supervisor will be reviewing progress on a regular basis. Customers can expect frequent interaction with our senior project manager, regular progress reviews with our account supervisor and many opportunities for input. Should changes be requested or required, a written change order procedure is implemented.
